How to Delete Cydia from iPhone/iPod Touch
- Click the Cydia icon. You can uninstall Cydia without losing your jailbreak if you wish. If your jailbreak fails, you won't be able to get back into normal operation without Cydia.
- Select the “Installed” menu at the screen's footer. Once you do that, a window containing a list of all of your packages will pop up.
- Select the app or customization you wish to uninstall. If you click on “More Info,” a new window will pop up.
- Select “Modify” and then “Remove” from the menu that appears. That will put it in the line of things to be removed from your system.
- Select “Keep Waiting” to proceed in the queue. By doing so, you'll be able to add more packages to the list of those slated for removal.
- Queue items again and again until you've got all the unwanted packages checked. When your turn in line is up, go back to the “Installed” section.
- Select “Queue” and then “Confirm” to add something to the queue. Selecting all of the packages you want to remove will do just that. [1]
- Go back to the “Installed” tab and this time choose the “User” dropdown menu. With this, only the most crucial packages will be shown.
- Remove the Cydia “Installer” app. Click the “Modify” button on the “Cydia Installer” Details page. To delete something, first tap the “Remove” button and then the “Confirm” button. After Cydia is removed, your device will restart. [2]
- Join your iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad to your personal computer. Connect your iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch to your personal computer via the included USB cable. If you unjailbreak your iOS device, Cydia and any other jailbreak-enabled apps and tweaks will be deleted along with it.
- If iTunes isn't already open, open it. To undo the jailbreak and wipe out any traces of Cydia, you will be using iTunes to back up and restore your device to its original factory settings. All jailbreak modifications will be removed, but your data will remain intact.
- Raise Your Guard Immediately. This will create a full copy of your device's data on your computer. It'll take a few minutes for the backup to finish.
- Select the iPhone, iPad, or iPod… button to begin the restoration process. When iTunes is ready to continue the restore process, it will ask for your confirmation. After waiting for a while, your iOS device will be completely reset.
- When the restore is finished, load your backup. After a successful restore, iTunes will prompt you to either set up your device from scratch or restore it from a backup. Just click on the backup you made and select it to be restored. This will remove the jailbreak, Cydia, and any tweaks or Cydia apps you may have installed, but restore all of your previous data and settings. [3]
